<abstract><p>This research examines the concept of legal corruption in William Shakespeare&apos;s The Merchant of Venice, arguing that the play reveals systemic flaws in Venetian legal practice. Through close reading and historical contextualization, the study demonstrates how Shakespeare critiques the manipulation of justice by power and wealth.</p></abstract>
