The meaning of the name “Yemen” in modern and contemporary history1959 – 1538

This research explores the word “Yemen” in some modern and contemporaryhistorical sources, and how different political regimes  have ruled Yemen over time have expressed it. It examines how it has been represented as a fixed term for a specific geographical area in various circumstances, retaining its significance even as conditions and circumstances have changed. The research is divided into sections, in addition to a introduction and a conclusion. The first section explores the term under the Ottomans, the second section explores the term under the Imams, the third section explores the term within British, the fourth section explores the term in the modern sources, however, the last section explores the term in Yemeni journalism.
