This research investigates the constructive role of Darfur arts band’s folk songs in promoting a culture of peace and sustaining security among conflict-affected communities in Darfur. Employing a qualitative descriptive–analytical methodology with primary data (field interviews and observations) and secondary data (academic literature, documents, and media reports), the study finds that folksongs effectively foster a shared cultural identity, reduce intergroup tensions, and stimulate community
dialogue on tolerance and reconciliation. Key findings reveal that these songs are accessible vehicles for peace education and can be integrated into school curricula and cultural programs. The study recommends enhanced institutional support for cultural initiatives, incorporation of folksong in educational frameworks, active collaboration between artists and policymakers, targeted media campaigns, and annual cultural festivals to reinforce peace messages.
