Abstract

The book "Adab al-Katib" or "Al-Kitab" by Ibn Qutaybah (d. 276 AH) is one of the most prominent works of Arabic literature and language that sparked widespread scholarly debate. Ibn al-Sayyid al-Batalyawsi approached this book in "Al-Iqtidab" with a researcher and critic's approach, engaging with the heritage of the East and contributing original insights that enriched the linguistic and literary tradition.
